Lakeside Animal Hospital is proud to offer a variety of services to ensure the best care for your pet. From complicated surgeries, diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound and endoscopy, and general services such as boarding, we are a full service veterinary hospital.
Our veterinarians are well versed in the care of many species, including avian, reptiles and small mammals.
Company History
Dr. Marissa Gonzalez was born in Maryland and raised in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Rutgers University in 1984. She moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1989 and worked at Sheltering Arms Physical Rehabilitation Hospital before moving to Blacksburg, VA to attend the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gonzalez’s veterinary interests include avian, exotic, and emergency animal care. Some of Dr. Gonzalez’s hobbies include scuba diving, hiking, boating and reading. She purchased Lakeside Animal Hospital in 2001.
