Animal Medical Center of Cascades is a busy and rapidly growing full service hospital serving Northern Virginia established in 2000. We strongly value our relationships with our clients and consistently drive education and compliance. At AMCC, we believe that a successful veterinary hospital starts with a supportive and well-educated group of individuals that are passionate about what they do. We also want our employees to develop their own interests within the practice while working together to deliver the best care for patients as well as the best service to our clients. Our staff takes pride in our modern facility and the unique services we are able to offer our community. Our team is committed to caring for our community, their pets and each other.
We are a privately owned, small animal, full service paper light hospital that practices high quality medicine and surgery. We are a two plus doctor practice with licensed support staff and are looking to expand to four doctors FTE. Each of our doctors are experienced in the industry and are happy to mentor new/recent graduates. We are able to offer advanced dentistry procedures as well as orthopedics. We utilize cutting edge equipment, uphold an engaging environment and provide constant learning opportunities. We strive to foster an environment with continuous team mentorship and development. We believe that staff happiness and job fulfillment should always be one of our top priorities.
The team at Animal Medical Center of Cascades delivers in depth medical care to each of our patients. We promote an honest and deep connection with each one of our clients resulting in clear and consistent communication and effective education of their pet’s health. Active listening is critical in our process so we can discover the needs and concerns of every pet that walks through our doors.
Company History
Dr. DeAnna J. Mitchell established Animal Medical Center of Cascades in November 2000. Her goal was to create a hospital that maintained the highest standards of veterinary medicine, compassionate animal care, and client education with the help of a dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled staff.
From the inception of our practice, we have seen ourselves as a dedicated group of professionals working together to do an excellent job for our clients, patients, and the profession. We attribute our success to our excellent staff and the services we offer.
One of the strong points of our philosophy is our teamwork attitude and our emphasis on communication. We believe in the delivery of up-to-date services to our patients in the most compassionate and humane manner, as well as being caring and sensitive with our clients.
The clinic moved to its current location in July 2007. The facility expanded from 1900 to 6300 sq ft, providing us with 5 exam rooms and plenty of elbow room!

- Base Plus Salary (with a clientele that encourages us to do it all and more!)
