Animal Emergency and Urgent Care is a 24/7, AAHA certified emergency and critical care practice located in Bakersfield, California. It was established in 1976 and has had the same owner since 1983. We have a well-trained and compassionate staff and a strong team oriented approach to our patient care. The Practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, full IDEXX lab, I-stat, Doppler, wireless EKG telemetry and coags.
Company History
Animal Emergency and Urgent Care was originally established in Bakersfield, CA in 1976 and has been owned by Dr. Katy Ratliff since 1983. It started as a traditional overnight, weekend and holiday emergency and urgent care practice and has expanded hours to cover 24/7 in order to provide continuity of care for the patients who most benefit from 24 hour care and monitoring. Most of the staff has been here for at least 5 years and some have been here for over 10.
