We are seeking a qualified individual to join us as we strive to fulfill the outlined efforts as our clinic's Practice Manager. The ideal candidate will provide knowledgeable guidance to the staff, maintain adequate inventory levels, offer support to the various departments in the facility, and participate in collaborative efforts with the managing DVM. Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Recruit, interview, hire, train and manage support staff, ensuring that staff is upholding the practice’s standards of performance
- Manage the work schedules for support staff
- Manage employee benefits programs
- Structure continuing education and training for support staff
- Function as veterinary technician as needed
- Grow and develop practice revenue centers
- Develop/enhance processes to ensure efficiency in service delivery, excellence in client interactions, and an overall outstanding experience for our clients
- Handle client issues and concerns in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism
- Develop plans to grow the number of new clients
- Create and implement practice marketing programs
- Oversee building and equipment maintenance
- Oversee and maintain housekeeping standards
- Prepare or supervise creation of business accounting reports
- Review and/or prepare accounts payable and receivable
- Establish hospital budget and growth projections
- Implement and oversee inventory management and expense control
Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent clinical skills • A self-starter mentality with a sense of diplomacy and ability to be a positive and effective leader • Excellent planning, organizational, customer relation, time management, and budgetary skills Education/Experience: - 5+ years of management experience as a practice manager in a veterinary or other medical clinic
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Certified Veterinary Technician +/- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager designation is desired but not required
