Veterinary Technician Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in collecting all specimens,routine and complex laboratory procedures
• Proficient in dental prophylaxes, anesthesiology, and radiology
• Proficient in animal handling and restraint

• Good communication skills, both written and oral

• Ability to effectively present ideas and concepts
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once
• Requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during your workday and lift up to 35lbs.
• Veterinary Technician should be able to run routine lab samples including but not limited to fecal tests, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, and manual complete blood counts.
• Veterinary Technician will be responsible for working side by side with the veterinarian in all aspects of the hospital. Setting up rooms, client education, running labs, working all aspects of surgery, drug calculations, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and lots more.
